Alex Shaw says:

My thinking is…if you hit over a million balls practicing any motion,
coupled with good hand eye coordination, you’re gonna produce decent
results. I don’t buy into this being an easier way to swing. In theory,
possibly..but like any other motion it is a little more complex than just
working on one plane. Moe had exceptional leg action, as do all great
champions..could this not have been his secret? ?

john craig says:

It’s all left hand. The right hand is like a feather.?

Ninja_Prime says:

I have just recently changed my golf swing to this and have been practicing
it for a couple of weeks now. Thanks for explaining the positions and what
the single plane swing is about. I had to look at this video and other Moe
Norman videos a few times as I didn’t understand from the front view why
the club head was several inches behind the ball. You have explained the
pivot point for me :) The reason I wanted to change my golf swing was
because of my lower back pain. Using this method I have reduced this quite
considerably and I can enjoy playing golf again. I am a long way to
perfecting my swing, but at least I feel like I am actually getting
somewhere with this swing, it feels a lot more natural for me, and I can
actually generate enough lag/power to get decent distance. ?

??? says:

omg…. talks too much not swing so much….
i feel like im listien to a radio..?

Mark Sherer says:

I am over 65 and have used this method with very good results, just two
comments….need to swing not hit at the ball, when you first go to this
single plain your going to feel like hitting at the ball, cut back and work
on a smooth swing letting ball get in the way, it will work……#2 release
the hands like most swings, makes a big difference. again at first you feel
like just hitting at he ball without releasing club….?

miao yan says:

Is there anyone on tour using this kind of swing ??

Christopher Johnson says:

Informative…!?

tubewatcher38 says:

Interesting, but does that mean the swing plane & swing change for each
club??

Ed Floody says:

If this was the way to go then why isn’t somebody on tour doing this swing?
I mean wining just the FedEx cup is worth $15 million. Am I missing
something??

Ira Shoff says:

OMG this guy is way off. ?

Justin Peterson says:

Agree. The problem is that if the simple single is really simple, you donĀ“t
need a golf academy and endless lessons to learn it. : /

David Franks says:

weak sauce……really weak

johnnyblazsus says:

I dnt see how moe norman was particully powerfull or long, more said bout
his consistency ans straightness and with this swing i think those are the
only benifits. Standing tat far away frm the ball he cant effectivly get a
bowed and supinated left wrist(hands ahead of ball) at impact without
bending over to th point of falling which he obviously doesnt do. This
impact position is vital for transfering the power stored in lag and
control of the golf ball through spin. nt good if you want on tour

webbum says:

Yep, that’s about as far as I hit it!

Chris Gatti says:

Boring!!!!!!

brownnyas77 says:

Hi Todd, If the club comes down on a steaper the “traditional” angle,
should the clubs lie angles be adjusted? I play off a 1 ( thanks to my
short game ) and haven’t looked at my swing for 3 years untill today, and I
noticed that I address the ball “traditionaly” but the club moves through
the swing much the same way that Mr Moe’s does . I think you are on to
something here but peoples egos don’t let them see it! I will experiment
with my initial set up position. Thanks Well done, ka pai.

David Stanley says:

Show,Don’t tell. TL;DW

sce toaux says:

the bending of the back leg produces a bad push in my case, and i have lost
power since using this swing.

biscuitninja says:

Nice! Hit the damn ball though! LOL!

secretogolf says:

@secretogolf Your such a genius

chuckwalla says:

One needs to find a swing that will fit one’s body type. None of these
swing theories will work for everyone.

dolier2006 says:

What a wordy, waffly, confusing attempt at supposedly “simplifying”
something!

GravesGolfAcademy says:

actually you do not need upright clubs. I am 5’9″ and use 3 degree flat of
standard clubs. I believe that clubs should be fit to arm length and a
proper spine tilt at address. Clubs that are too upright often hinder the
proper spine position.

secretogolf says:

Focus on what is good here. You get back to impact much easier do to the
simplified takeaway caused by the grip.Mo Morman and Graves impact
positiion corelate perfectly with the one from The Golfing Machine.Just use
the grip -right hand underneath and wind up with a flat left wrist, bent
right and a handle leading the cluhead.Norman did and thats what is the
heartbeat of any well lagged powerful impact positon. You don’t need to
stand that far way from the ball or have your feet a mile apart.

Erick Blackwelder says:

I bought Moe’s DVD explaining single plain swing. It worked for me. My
drives are straight and long. I still sweep the grass instead of taking a
divot, but I’m working on it.

M Ace67 says:

if he showed you everything he’d be out of business

Allen Davis says:

I’ve been using this method for over 5yrs its a great swing and easy to
repeat went from a 15 handicap to a 3 in a yr and half it boosted my club
head speed and gave me confidence!
