i really want to but i would need someone to do the zooming for me
otherwise once i throw the disc it will be lost on camera

Dirty Mitten says:

Love the name man. HAM! haha. You should try to get some footage on the
course. Looks like you got a pretty good cam.

Adam Lenke says:

There is one piece of advice I would like to impart that took me a long
time to understand. Go for par. We play everything par 3. The name of my
club is Bogey Free and that is what I go for every round. To be bogey free.
As you get better your pars will turn to birdies, eagles, and aces. I used
to consistently throw +8 to +12 especially in league play where I was
intimidated by the better players. Now I throw a pretty consistent -3 to
+2. I don’t try to beat everyone or my group, just myself.

gerbil84ak says:

That was some good advice. Another neat little way I’ve found to practice
is to play catch with a putter. This is a real good way to practice
approach shots. If two people are comfortable playing catch at a certain
distance, move further back until you have trouble with accuracy and
control. Just a little tip that’s helped me with my game. Keep it up.

@ajbergal1 I use Easy Scorecard Pro right now, it only is for Android but
it traks stats for everything, which is why i love it

I’ma go ham it up tomorrow at Morley Field.

TheShermoen says:

I like your style ham.

GoHamDiscGolf says:

You’re right, playing catch really can help, and not just with putters. You
can also use your drivers and midranges to play catch with a friend so that
you have something to relatively aim at. That sounds dangerous but discs
are easy to dodge 😛

Justin Brinkley says:

Thanks! I was wondering the same thing.

cmsjp3 says:

Ive started off with stable mid ranges and putters. Some people say to
throw them at least 200ft before moving up to a slower driver. My discs
will make it to 200 from time to time. But the dont tent to go to straight.
I feel like Ive tried so many techniques but same results. Ive tried
slowing my arm down but that seems to make it worse. My elbow feels like its
going to blow after I throw for a while. This is for forehand cuz that come
more naturally. My backhand is so much worse. Need help PLZ

DrumPhil65 says:

Good tips, Big John. One note to people throwing extra discs during a
practice round: if a faster group comes up behind, let them play through.
It’s great to use practice rounds to learn, but don’t frustrate someone
else by forcing them to wait while you throw four discs. Let them play
through, and everyone’s happy.
