My method uses an athletic body rotation through impact. Everything traps the ball. This rotation happens around the front hip (like throwing a ball). The front hip is also where the ball is played. Since we rotate around the front hip, there is no need to slide off the ball to the back foot. There are no benefits (only? problems) when you sway to the back foot. Also, if you sway to the back, then you have to sway back to where you started. This is a big cause of miss hit shots.
