Hi Peter, as always I enjoyed seeing your current lessen! Thanks! Must
admit, 3 wood has not been in my “repertoire” yet, especially when on a
golf course playing! I find it a tough club to use! Will try to
“experiment” however with my 4 wood after seeing your encouraging golf tip
piece. Does that slight hitting down on it, apply not only to 3 wood but
also to any kind of wood, yes? By the way, your swing looks so effortless,
very impressive! ?
Wow, incredibly surprising statistic that is, I thought only Sergio Garcia
would have had that angle of attack lol. Definitely gonna give it a try.
Nice insight Peter. Thanks?
I love those data-backed myth-busting videos. Hitting down probably won’t
work as well for people with slow swing speed I’d assume… I just bought
my first 3wood recently so this is very useful to me as I was putting the
ball way too far forward and forcing my to swing it more like a driver
(which is not my forte). Thanks Pete. ?
I agree. The thing is that from my experience majority of Ams have a very
difficult time releasing the club when they try to “strike down” on it
especially with a Hyb or Fairway wood. I guess they get stuck. ?
Another great topics for a video Peter. I don’t have enough dynamic loft
when hitting a fairway wood so I use a 5 wood that launches like a 3 wood.
Where did you get the avg. stats for the PGA tour from? Thanks ?
great information there! thx?
Great videos pete love the content. I also like to feel my hands slightly
forward and ball position back a little and a strike down. Is that the g30
3 wood you are using with the tour 65 shaft ? Keep up the great work!?
Good video Pete thanks. I used to setup for hitting up with my fairway
woods and driver until I got on trackman & noticed I was still hitting down
… so I decided to just setup like I would for a long iron & accept the
negative AoA. I gained so much more better contact that I improved distance
as well as accuracy. Driver is now teed lower & ive abandoned the reverse k
type setup.
Do a video on driver AoA too :)?
Totally different to everything I’ve been cant wait to give it a try great
stuff again Pete?
Garcia takes quite big divots with his 3 wood.?
Good vid my question is my 3 wood is a king cobra 3+ very deep face! Should
I hit down on it all the time??
Great video Pete. I’ve always swept with my woods. Will definitely give
this a try. Hope to see more videos with you using your flightscope!?
man you have a sweet ass swing?
2.9??? Everyone knows that 3 is the magic number Pete…
Great vid as per usual ?????
can you do a golf tip vid with a hybrid? i bought one in the
summer…Cleveland Classic 2h 18 deg…i was fine the first round, now i
can’t see, to hit it at all…about to give up and sell it back….?
Isn’t hitting “up” a feeling more than a reality??
off to practice now!?
Where are you located?
We are a new YouTube channel with tips and tricks it would be great if you
could check us out, thanks.?
Hi Pete. I agree with everything you have said here. But do you think that
adopting this way, slower swingers have to maybe go up in loft a touch with
their 3 woods from say 15* to 16 or 17*? And also, do you think that people
should also be aware, that adopting this slightly downward strike with a
Fairway, that any amateur needs to be very aware, and keep a close eye on
their dynamic loft, otherwise low worm burners may result. I noticed in the
vid, that because you are very comfortable with your swing, and that it is
easy for your body to adapt, that with the early shots you hit, they were a
couple with very low launch angle, one of them was 4.8* I think, then as
you hit more balls, although the AoA stayed negative, the launch angle was
going up to around 12*. So clearly you are plenty good enough to adjust
your dynamic loft to get the ballflight you want to see? Some of us are not
quite so talented, and aware, so would you agree, that most amateurs need
to watch their dynamic loft when trying to hit down on a Fairway??

Hey Peter can you do a video on controlling distance with your Chips
please. It would be great if you do. And your the best at getting
information to people. I went from 20 to 13 by watching your videos?
Thanks Yeh sometimes I don’t bother carrying a driver it’s so deep?
Would love to this again with a front on camera to show ball position.?
