www.4golfonline.com Mark Crossfield hits with the Titleist AP2 and the TaylorMade MC Forged irons in this hit off. See how the two great golf clubs match up and compare. The AP2 irons and the Forged MC irons are both aimed at golfer looking at improving their golf game with control and feel. The soft feeling and smaller head design with classic looks will help the better player keep the launch low and the feel for distance high.
whats on the end of the shaft of? the Titleist toward the club head?
hey i was just wandering, does your set say -2* or something on the neck of the club?? because when i tried the demo club at my local range it had that and i noticed that the club face would sit facing a bit more towards you when it is neutral on the ground.
I just? got the MC forged and they are great
Wow! Sounded like 300 yards!? And only a 3 quarter swing!
wow how hard did you hit that one? at 1:13
as a avid viewer of your videos, i love? the old and new but i have to admit that the hi-speed camera makes the videos 10x better!
hey mark,
i have an old set of g15 irons that i was fitted for 2 years ago and i need a new set. i was fitted for those when i was 12 im 14 now, my swing speed is about 101mph and i dont have a handicap but in the local tours this year my scores at the begining of the year were high 70s? low 80s at the end of the season low to mid 70s. i like pings s56s and callaways razr x forged and i was wondering which one of those has a higher launch angle
I have a 15 handicap and have a very chunky iron now and want to get a club with a thinner sole and a bit more advanced. Which one feels nicer and hits better? Cheers.?
At an 11 handicap should I look at buying ether? of these irons or something different?
hey im a 9 handicap and r looking for new irons, do u recommend? the ap2’s?
hey mark, i am handicap 12 and wanted to buy the? taylormade mc, do you think this purchase would be suitable for my level?
thanx
Would it be posible to come down to the driving range to try out the mc and other irons as im starting to not? trusy american golf!
I have the mc’s in 6-pw and the cb’s 4-5 iron, and I luv them, great feel and predictabilty. I won’t be changing until my grooves? wear out, good vid and a very nice swing.
Iv tested both. I like both as well. For me, it was just a matter of feel and look at address. I prefer the Taylor Made over the Ap2 if i had to chose between these 2. Looks better to my eye. I play the Taylor Made MB’s and have a? CB for a 4 iron. Taylor Made did awesome with this line in my opinion. Ap2’s and Titleist MB’s just feel too bulky for my taste.
i upgraded to the apt from the 708 ap1s as my game has progressed nicely over the last 3 years, and i also tried out the mc, cb (titleist) and the mizuno mp53 and 59, i found that the apt? overed just enough forgiveness to allow me to try different things without being punished too much and i have found the workability satisfactory, i hit a great draw on a dog leg around a set of trees and plopped it on the front portion of the green, in fact i overcooked it a bit, and i just missed the bird
These are a bit easier to shape than R11. The r11 has a much larger cavity than the MC iron giving the player more forgeiveness on misshits with the drawback of losing a bit of feel. In my opinion the best iron TM makes is the tour prefered CB iron which has the cavity of a R11 iron but the forged face of a blade giving? it better workability
compared to the R11s are? these easier to shape??
Thank You friend and keep up? the outstanding reviews…..and maybe if you dont mind do a little swing instruction via youtube. Be well.
Alright buddy Ive been watchingbyour vids for a year now and A) you have a great swing B) youre very helpful C) you seem like you would be a great instructor….too bad Im in California…….I started playing golf 2 1/2 yrs ago roughly and pkayed at about a 40 handicap….ha ha…..at about a year ago by simply watching how smooth and seemingly slow you swing the club helped me realize I dont have to kill the ball to get great distance. That small revelation helped? me get doen to a 21 handicap.
Got fitted for clubs the other day using Trackman. Came down to these two iron sets. Both felt great. I liked the look of the Titleist better, but I got better numbers with the MCs in terms of spin and launch. I ended up getting the MCs with the S300 shafts. Different individuals get different results. I recommend you get fit for clubs, but not on those indoor hitting? bays. The data isn’t anywhere near as accurate or complete as? going and hitting outside on a real range with Trackman.
Just bought the TaylorMade! Greatest clubs ever! I get an extra 20 yards, but I? can hit just as accurately as my pure blades! Just crazy!
ap2 are? awesome
is the MC 2 flat? as well….because I saw that the ap2 was 2 flat in your vid
Hi Mark could you tell me if the wilson prostaff lcg irons are any good for a total beginner ? ? regards james
had the ap2s but was getting the ball way too high compared to all the other clubs ive used, nice club but just couldnt keep the ball down with them and playing in iceland in the wind they just wasnt the club for me so i ended up going back to my snake eyes for now and put some rifle 5.0 shafts? in them which ended up in two 74 rounds for me this year for a 9 handicapper so im pleased with that change of shaft alone tbh
Taylormade irons feel so pure!?
if you’re a 20 handicapper? i think the ap1’s or something more forgiving, would help but if u want one of these, i’ll say the ap2’s
what is the smash factor for the MC, i hit both the burner 2 and Mc today. i was suprised at the distance i was getting. i thk theyre really jacked up i hit 170 m w the Mc and Burner? 6iron
which is best for a? 20 hadicap
These 2 are currently the irons I desire, but just can not decide. I’m a fan taylormade, but I am liking the AP2 710s.. Both are the same price, but unable to actually hit them. Handicap? is 13-15 (haven’t played in a while), looking to get into singles. Any advice about these 2?
have you done the taylormade? r11 irons yet?
could you compare smash factor? on mc, ap2, mp53, ping anser forged
Taylormade iron is? ugly looking.
hey mark, im trying to decide between these two? irons. Im currently a 12 handicap and am looking to improve my game. Ive hit both and I hit them both about the same. Feel like I have more mishits with the ap2’s though. Let me know what you think thanks.
hi mark, great review, i play mx300’s at the moment was looking at the? mp53 as a replacement but found no big gains over my 300’s, try’d the ap2’s and found more distance but retained workability..was almost ready to do a deal when i try’d one other set of clubs..i have never seen you review any of there products at all..so can you please?..as i respect your opinion. the set was john letters masters model..blew me away..shaped it for fun, and the feel..buying on hold..so would love an opinion
just wondering shouldnt u get sort of taylormade MB instead of MC, or get some more? sort of blade-like irons…
I’ve owned both these clubs and I must say they are a lot alike except for the feel. The taylormade MC’s don’t have the harsh feel on miss hits that the ap2’s do. Waiting to see what’s coming out new for? the ap2’s this year!
This is a great review of two great clubs leading the market right now. I wanna thank you for posting this video because these are the two irons I’m looking at. I’m looking to replace my Titleist 690 MB’s with something pre-new. Ive looked at the R7 TP, R9 TP, and a couple others because of the price. $899 is out of my price range but im looking for something that will help me shoot low to mid 70’s. Im already high 70’s low 80’s and wanna take that next step. If you can? help that would be great.
Never heard of? it, you must’ve been speaking to a retard
What’s a? dinkus is this another stupid American slang word
