Excellent analysis. Two things I would add is that it’s very difficult to
create lag with that much wrist arch (or bow). I used to have a lot of left
wrist arch, but couldn’t get much hinge/lag because my wrists are not as
flexible as Johnson’s. I doubt few are. Also, bowing the left wrist also
tends to result in getting laid off, but Johnson manages to keep on plane.
If you can do it, awesome.
suuuure
bad technique and a high maintenance wife are not a recipe for happiness
and success on the pga tour.
Great video!
I would like to add one thing. The reason that he can hit the straight ball
and the fade with that extremely closed face is because of his fast hips.
He is able to square up his club face because his hips are way out in front
of his club face. The faster he turns his hips the more square or open his
club face is. I actually have a slightly closed club face and I turn my
hips a little faster to get a square club face.
I agree his set-up is great from the back angle for a tall player.
id like to see your swing hot shot
Guys go check out my swing on my channel and tell me what you think! I’d
really appreciate it! Thanks
My swing and stance is almost exactyly like this guys. I hit my 7 iron over
