Tom Flanagan says:

125/135 psi? Seriously? I’ve been popping grips off for the past 40 years
or more (I was in the business). My compressor is set at 80 psi. Solvent,
sleeve, air, bingo!

I also have a Sears/Black & Decker tire inflator. 30 – 35 psi does the job
with that machine. ?

HOT40K says:

You don’t need the ‘135psi’ rather than 125psi!
If the grip has been installed properly with double sided tape and solvent,
the air will not break the bond between the glue and the shaft. As said,
the grip will bulge out at the top and will blow a hole in the grip if you
keep applying pressure.

This only works 100% if the grips were installed using the air method.
If done using air from initial installation, it is a great method.?

Robert Meyer says:

It is included in a Husky Air Compressor Accessory Kit from Home Depot:
(Model # HDA51300AV)

This works a treat, I dont bother with the sleeve, just stop when a bulge
appears and then start again, being taking grips off and on all day for a
laugh, super easy to do

Guy F says:

There is NO way this works.. I have an air compressor and my grips will NOT
budge no matter how much AIR I blow into the whole.. What are you using
before you blow the grip off??

R J says:

What is the name of the tip that you use on the compressor and where is it
available?

Guy F says:

There is NOT way this works.. unless you loosened the grip with a ton of
solvent.. Cause all this did was blow up the grip and ruin it.. and never
mind the WINN grips.. they didn’t budge.. Well my air compressor drops as
the air comes out.. dont know why… still and all if I had 125 psi .. the
grip would of exploded.. So Sorry, I have to disagree this way does not
work unless the grip was just put on and you need to remove it fast.. other
then that.. they don’t budge..

Dave Reed says:

Great video…thank you for the info!

@Imguy329 it does work, i have a black and decker air station and I put an
old 9 inch paint roller cover over it for a shield and the grip comes right
off. I’ve regripped my Titlest 3 wood and plan on doing all my irons when
needed, but make sure you “feather” the air pressure or you’ll baloon the
grip up and ruin it. The paint roller cover works much better then the
paper towel though.

Robert Meyer says:

Sorry this is not working for you. The compressor must have at least 125
psi of pressure (mine is at 135 psi). Nothing more than air is used; no pre
prepping of anything. Also, not all grips come off as easily as others. The
easiest kind to get off are all rubber, the non corded kind. Also, Winn
grips are almost impossible to save but with patience I get some of them
off. So, 1st, what kind of grips are you trying to remove and how much psi
pressure is your compressor capable of at full load.

Todd Berman says:

Very clearly explained. Thank you for moving us into the modern age of golf
grip removal.

Richard Cole says:

Im curious if heating the grip with a heat gun before shooting air would
help
